News Article: Working to Support Clean Energy and Defeat Senate Bill 446

By May 4, 2019 No Comments

A huge part of my work happens behind the scenes. I’ve found that being an effective Senator involves killing things before they come up for a vote.

Senate Bill 446 is my top target to defeat this year. I’ve been working very hard behind the scenes to kill SB 446 which would add an annual registration fee of $230 to every electric vehicle in North Carolina. It would make North Carolina the LEAST friendly state for EVs in the country.

This is a great Energy News Network article that talks about my electric vehicle parking bill that’s good for EVs and SB 446 which is very bad for electric vehicles.

Please keep up the opposition and continue to contact your state legislators in opposition to SB 446. With your help it may never come up for a vote – a great victory for clean energy.
